FireCore has released a new version of its Apple TV supercharger – aTV Flash (black). Version 1.4 brings support for M3U and PLS playlists, TrueHD audio, EyeTV folder detection and a bunch of improvements and bug fixes. Additinally, aTV Flash (black) is now available also in Finnish, German, Japanese, Norwegian, Polish, Russian, and Swedish.
aTV Flash (black) is currently only compatible with AppleTV versions 4.2 – 4.4.4. FireCore has announced that they are already working on the new version that will be compatible with recently released Apple TV software version 5.0.

Users have now the ability to access purchased movies and TV shows right from iCloud on the Apple TV. With iCloud, users can buy movies and TV shows on Apple TV and watch them on their iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or PC. Also, Netlfix users will be able to watch movies and TV streaming on Apple TV in 1080p and pay directly via an iTunes account.

At times, Best Buy sends surveys to customers asking for feedback on potential new products and services; in the latest survey electrical retail giant is asking about a potential clients’ interest in 42-inch Apple HDTV! „Be one of the first to get the all new 42“ Apple HDTV at Best Buy for $1499. Apple finally reinvents what a TV can do,“ the survey reads.

Netflix has finally arrived in the UK and Ireland. For £5.99/€6.99 a month residents can now instantly watch unlimited films and TV programs streamed directly to their Apple TV. Also, starting today, people throughout the UK and Ireland can begin a free, one-month trial of Netflix.
At launch, Netflix is offering films and TV programs from All3Media, the BBC, CBS, Channel 4′s 4oD, Disney UK & Ireland, ITV, Lionsgate UK, MGM, Miramax, Momentum Pictures, NBCUniversal, Paramount, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Twentieth Century Fox and Viacom International Media Networks.
