AirServer for Mac, one of our favourite AirPlay receivers, has been just updated to version 5.0 that features long-awaited HD recording with post processing filters. New AirServer has been optimized for iPhone 5s and its 64-bit processor. The update is free for existing users.

Infuse 2 lets you watch videos in as many as 14 formats on your iOS device and is optimized for iOS 7 and Retina displays, with AirPlay and subtitle support as well as trakt.tv integration baked right in.
Alongside the release of iOS 7.1 beta, Apple has issued a new Apple TV software beta. The new beta specifically “enables users to mirror content of an iPad to an Apple TV using AirPlay.”
Apple has created the awesome platform of AirPlay to get your iOS device displays into Apple TV‘s large screen. But the major drawback has always been the lack of AirReceiving enabled devices. There are some great apps, like AirServer or Reflector, that mirror iPhone and iPad screens to your Mac, and now there is a new app called X-Mirage that does the same job, but promises to take AirPlay to the next level.
