ESPN has finally updated its WatchESPN app with AirPlay support. The update includes AirPlay support for all channels (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, and ESPN3) and support for AirPlay in background. This is a great news for sports fans and the owners of older iDevices that don’t support AirPlay mirroring feature.

Splitmo, a company dedicated to creating mobile apps that leverage ‘dual screen’ technologies, has released its first app called Air Show (free in the App Store). Air Show is an iOS app that lets users preview, select and edit images on their iPhone/iPad screen while simultaneously displaying the more polished view on an HDTV screen.
Gamers rejoice! Cerebral Gardens, a software development studio specializing in iOS and Mac apps, is launching the “first game for Apple TV” through the App Store. It’s called Party Doodles, and it’s a multiplayer, interactive party drawing and guessing game game you’ll certainly be busting out at your next gathering. Dave Wood, the founder and president of Cerebral Gardens, calls Party Doodles the first game ever designed specifically for the Apple TV, and it’s certainly about time. And when integrated with AirPlay, it really represents the next generation of gaming.
Fans of Apple TV have long loved how the hardware integrates with the Apple iOS and all of their additional audio/visual accessories. But Apple has never been known to rest on their laurels. On the heels of the upcoming iOS 6 release, Apple TV will give users new and improved ways to integrate wireless speaker systems.

What’s that, you hate 3D glasses? That’s okay. With Stream TV we are going glasses-free 3D! According to a story from the great team at Macworld, Stream TV Networks, who develop glasses-free 3D technology for TV sets, announced that they are enabling Apple TV users to beam Apple TV content or the content from our other iOS devices to the 3D TVs using the company’s Ultra-D autostereoscopic technology.

Windows version of AirParrot, an app that streams your computer’s screen to your Apple TV 2 or Apple TV 3 over AirPlay, has been released a few weeks ago but if you haven’t grabbed your own copy yet, here is a chance to get it for free.
