For the first time since 2010 “Back to the Mac” event Apple will live stream its keynote on the web: the company has updated Apple Special Event page where the live stream from today’s iPad mini event will start at 10:00 a.m. PDT. Apple has also added a new “Apple Events” icon to the Apple TV home screen. For now, the new channel only offers some past Apple events but it invites users to tune in at 10:00 a.m. Pacific time to watch today’s event live. It’s the first time Apple TV users can watch Apple event live directly on the Apple TV.

Air Show, an iOS app that lets users preview, select and edit images on their iPhone/iPad screen while simultaneously displaying the more polished view on an HDTV screen via Apple TV, has been recently updated to support iPhone 5 and iOS 6. Air Show now also lets you add color captions and soundtrack to your real-time photo presentation.
Apple has just updated the second and third-generation Apple TV software to version 5.1 (build 10A406e). The biggest changes include support for Shared Photo Streams, the ability to switch between iTunes accounts and to send audio content from Apple TV to AirPlay-enabled speakers and devices. Apple TV 2 jailbreakers: as always – stay away from this update for now if you don’t want to lose your jailbreak.
