iOS hacker and Chronic Dev Team member pod2g announced on his Twitter that he is not working on Apple TV 3 jailbreak. Even worse, according to his recent tweet, no one he’s aware of is working on this jailbreak:

You know the story: p0sixninja left the Chronic Dev Team after selling iBoot 0day exploit to an (ex?)Apple employee (more details here). There was a lot of speculations on whether or not the iBoot exploit could have been used to jailbreak Apple TV 3.

Work on Apple TV 3 jailbreak is still in progress, according to FireCore. Although the company is working hard on this long-awaited jailbreak, the SeasOnPass and aTV Flash maker admitted on its blog that the jailbreak for Apple TV 3 “has proven to be a bit elusive up to this point.”
FireCore has just updated its aTV Flash (black) for Apple TV to version 1.7, which, among other things, features seamless access to trakt.tv – a TV show and movie recommendation service that helps keep a record of what TV shows and movies you are watching. Trakt is different than other sites since it automatically keeps a record of what you are watching and don’t rely on manual check ins.
