Apple TV users have hoped for a standalone Amazon Videos app for their little black boxes for the past few years. Although there is a way to enjoy Amazon Videos on the big screen using Apple TV, it’s not the most straightforward and comfortable one. Back in November, Amazon appeared to have confirmed that they were developing a tvOS app for Prime Video, but since then we haven’t heard anything about it.
AccuWeather has just launched the all-new AccuWeather app for Apple TV 4 that is said to “revolutionize the weather viewing experience for Apple TV users” thanks to its interactive weather maps and highly detailed weather forecasts including AccuWeather’s patented MinuteCast.
Apple today released the final version of tvOS 9.2.1 for the 4th generation Apple TV. The update includes general performance and stability improvements. No new features were added in this release.

You can choose a subject or hashtag you’re interested in and see tweets from around the world, or in a particular location you’ve set. Patently Apple reports that Apple has been granted a series of 65 patents today. Among them is patent for a 3D Apple TV remote control that could provide users with superior pointing accuracy and speed. However, the patent was filed in… 2008.
