Hi,

I have jail broken my apple tv 2 but am a complete novice and cannot SSH into the apple tv…whatever that means.

I have the power lead in the apple tv and the usb lead into the computer.

An idiots guide is much appreciated please.

apt-get install org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2 dosent work for me
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2: Depends: org.awkwardtv.whitelist but it is not installable
Depends: com.nito.updatebegone but it is not installable

When I go to XBMC on my apple tv ……..NAVI-X………say: please wait……and nothing , still like that. Any help ????

Use the download link in step 1.

Use something like filezilla to copy the downloaded file to your root folder
on the AppleTV ( /private/var/root)

Retry dpkg -i org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2_11.0-3_iphoneos-arm.deb

It appears you have trouble with the wget command. I have a problem with it
as I am behind a secure proxy by downloading the file and copying it into the
root folder you can ignore the wget command.

Dont forget to remove the install package (the rm command line at the
end).

Note these are 2 seperate commands and should not be entered at the same
time.

This guide is showing 11.0-3 for XBMC but downloading directly from their repository using apt-get install on the ATV2 I’m getting 11.0-4.

I’ll be skipping everything after the 3rd command in the guide above.
