when im trying to jailbreak i plug my apple tv in just by micro cable and the light does not come on but when i plug in the power cable it works any ideas

My jailbreak fails every time. It goes wrong on the ” restoring in ITunes ” part. I get the message that restoring fails. The good lord how’s why. I just use a micro USB no power cord. I updated my atv2 to the latest IOS. I’m using an Imac. Normally the jailbreak works fine, but this time FireCore gave me a mountain! Help me out please!!!

Can i do this without the silver remote? I think my silver remote has a dead battery and I’m using a Logitech Harmony One. For whatever the hell reason I’m unable to get it to do anything with the play/menu double finger combo.

When I plug the apple tv in with a usb the light on the front won’t come on and will not appear in iTunes

I have the FC settings logo. When I try to SSH into the atv, I get a connection time out error. This was done with both putty and tunnelier. Any suggestions?

I think I bricked it!!
I followed these instructions to the letter. This is my first time trying to jb ATV, but not my first apple device jb, the others went without a hitch.
I get to the part where it say “apple TV preparing to restore” and it sits there for about 10 minutes then I get unknown error 1604. I’ve tried restoring back to factory settings, and I get the same error. I get the flashing light and the itunes symbol when I plug in the HDMI. I have to put the apple tv into recovery mode for the computer to recognize it. I’ve tried doing the Shift + restore and selecting the ipsw file, but still no go. HELP!
