@8cdd8e7b5316cf7fd491e19175960866:disqus released PLEX plug in is not stable on 4.4.4. You have to use 0.9 beta release which works with 4.4.4. You could have just SSH into crashed ATV2 and removed PLEX plugin.
apt-get remove com.plex.client-plugin
rm -rf /Applications/AppleTV.app/Appliances/PLEX.frappliance
rm -rf /Applications/Lowtide.app/Appliances/PLEX.frappliance
rm /User/Library/Preferences/com.plex.client-plugin.plist
apt-get update

Screwed due to the fact SHSH Blobs were not save prior. I've done it plenty of times on iPhones, iPods, & iPads. Screwed myself on the ATV2 when I forgot to do so. I jail broke it and got to the point of installing Plex which crashed my ATV2. I could not restore OS back to 4.4.4. Instead I had to upgrade to Apple's most recent iOS for ATV2...5.1.
I'm going to wait for untethered jailbreak for 5.1. Hopefully my ATV3 can be done eventually.
