I JUST PURCHASED MY APPLE TV 2 AND DOWNLOADED GREENPOISON RC 6.1. I MADE SURE I HAD UPDATED MY ITUNES, AND I FOLLOWED ALL THE DIRECTIONS. I HAVE 2 DIFFERENT MICRO USB CORDS FROM A JAM BOX I JUST PURCHASED AND I JUST WENT TO RADIO SHACK THIS MORNING TO PURCHASE ANOTHER MICRO USB AND STILL NOTHING. I EVEN TRIED DOING IT ON 3 DIFFERENT COMPUTERS. WHEN I PLUG THE APPLE TV 2 INTO MY PC OR MAC WITH THE MICRO USB THE LIGHT DOES NOT LIGHT UP. THE ONLY WAY ITUNES RECOGNIZES THE APPLE TV IS IF I HAVE THE POWER CORD AND THE MICRO USB PLUGGED IN . WHAT SHOULD I DO? I GET NO POWER OR LIGHTS WITH JUST THE USB. DO I NEED TO RETURN MY APPLE TV?? THANKS

i had mine jailbroken with season pass, just ran gp over it without doing a fresh install of 4.2.1 with no problems. took about 2 minutes, no network issues, xmbc and all other apps still in place. i unplugged the hdmi and power, connected the usb, held menu/play for 7 seconds, then once dfu mode was entered i plugged in the power cable and waited the 40 seconds. when i connected the hdmi cable it stayed on a black screen, but i unplugged and plugged back and was good to go. i'm streaming 720p mkv with dolby digital output through xbmc as i'm writing this.
i also did the same procedure on my ipad when the untethered jb came out and had the same results, so the recommendation that a fresh install is required doesn't seem to actually be a requirement unless you run into issues.

So far, jailbreak worked Perfect!
Xbmc install Works good too.
Is it possible to install any Browser now?
I heared about couchsurfer for atv2, but
I did not Read about a Way to install it.
How about bluetooth Keyboards to pair with atv2?

Same here.... tried everything and nothing worked until I installed iTunes. I guess Windows needs the drivers iTunes carry to properly connect to the ATV.
After that it went on DFU first time and JB correctly on first attempt.
Installing XBMC was a little tricky, but after a few tries it installed too via Nito TV.
So Win 7 32Bit - iTunes 10.2 and atv 4.1.1 freshlty updated
