They've already jailbroken the new Apple TV with an exploit a group affiliated with them found that was already on other devices running iOS (SHAtter).

I'm really hoping to see FFMPEG, mencoder, and all of those other good video decoders brought to this device, allowing 1080p, MKV, and other great video goodies. I'd also love some way of playing from local storage. But I don't know of any micro/mini USB to micro/mini USB connectors.
