I updated last night, and tried to watch an old episode of battlestar galactica (which I bought off of iTunes), and when it tried to connect I got an "Authorizing"... then it said your product is not authorized and would not play it. I was too tired to get up and fiddle with it, so I went to bed, but they definitely put some kind of security in there. There appears to be some kind of security now built in.
