what are the benefits of loading Full version of OS X if all i want to do is all the functions that AppleTV already does + organize and watch movies from my NAS + surf the web + RSS and maybe Skype.

Would adding a USB hub work with AppleTV to get more outputs?

Awesome.

Got this going aswell, all I need to get going still is my mouse pointer. I don't have access to an Intel MAC so I don't know where to get the "application preferences.app". I've downloaded the osx update, but no luck. I also trolled through all the files on the appleTV in the hope of finding some setting that will show the pointer, but yest again no luck. If someone can point me somewhere it will be much appreciated.

Next, I want to put some educational games on for the kids. thanks all for the hard work.

Cheers
