Has anyone worked out is Skype can be made to run on the AppleTV?
If I could run Skype and an iSight I would not need my Mac Mini with Equinux's MediaCentral in my living room.
Thanks,

Its probably simple - but what about a way to add Itunes visualiser plugins as screensavers, or even regular OSX screensavers? Or has this been done already?

A plugin I think would be great is a DVD player plugin that plays DVD-Discs from a external DVD player plugged in the USB port. Wouldn't that be great ? :)

It'll be nice with VLC player... or the new <a href="http://www.getdemocracy.com/walkthrough/index4.php">Democracy player</a> which is built on VLC. That, together with a DVB-T stick (and EyeTV) will create the complete audio/video box - streaming video from the old G4 tower with it's massive storage capacity (7 hard drives and counting!)
oh, I can't wait ;)

I have 750GB hooked up to my Airport extreme 802.11n very nicely.
What I am trying to figure out is......how can we mount this in AppleTV? AND can we have the appleTV look to the second hard drive and use it seamlessly (ala when it selects a source, 1 source is this new drive)
Once that is figured out I can start looking at how to code the damn thing
Cheers

How about a way to mount SMB shares from media servers (or UPNP AV connectivity). How about a way to interface with YouTube/Google Video and stream music from Pandora? I would love to see that (and wouldn't mind doing a little python coding to see that happen).
